Twitter can be a tricky platform to tackle if you don’t use it to the advantage of your business. Keep reading for more insight on how you can build your brand in 140 characters or less!
Here we go!
So if you didn’t already know, like I said Twitter limits you to 140 characters per tweet. So the idea is to keep your content short and sweet. With such a limited amount of characters, you want to make sure that you are using all of your 140 characters wisely.
An easy tip to get more engagement on tweets is to include a graphic of some sort; this can be a video, gif or even just a picture. We all know the saying “A picture is worth a thousand words,” well on Twitter a graphic is worth a thousand characters! Tweets with graphics give something for your followers to look at which allows you to get their attention. Also, tweets with a graphic get more engagement than those that don’t.
PRO TIP: if you post a photo with someone in it be sure to tag them! You can tag up to 10 people in one post. Tagging people can also lead to getting more engagement because those that follow you can share your content you tagged them in.
It may not have crossed your mind but repeat your tweets or just retweet yourself. Why have just one tweet at 10:00am that has, for example, 100 clicks? You could have an identical tweet at a later time in the day that has just as many if not more clicks. Basically, you’re getting more bang for your buck.
Another easy tip that can drive traffic your business is to include your website in your bio. People that visit your account won’t have to search through your tweets to find your site, it’ll be right at the top of your profile.
Use the “pinned tweets” feature! Pinning a tweet makes it the first tweet people will see when they visit your profile. This feature comes in handy when wanting to promote something!
With these tips, you should be able to tackle Twitter and use it to grow your business, let me know which tip was your favorite.
